Animal, Vegetable, Mineral Triptych

Prints created for a 2018 independent research printmaking project at the University of Alaska Anchorage, supervised by Mariano Gonzales, part of a continuing body of work exploring papercut patterns on hand-printed paper. Each piece measures 10×22″ and were made with AKUA water-based inks on mystery paper and hand cut with a #11M Xacto knife, sewn in to a 2-sheet “book” with a conventional sewing machine using coffee-dyed muslin, and hung with cotton thread.

These prints were exhibited at the Harry Wood Gallery, Arizona State University, September 3-14, 2018 as part of A Buncha Book Artists’ member show, Past Due.
